"...Let us Rise up and build..." -Nehemiah 2:18
See How you Can Help!The Lord provided for Nehemiah as he walked in faith and led the people in rebuilding the wall at Jerusalem, leading the way to a spiritual revival. Additionally, the prophet Haggai proclaimed:
"Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD."
Haggai 1:7-8
Our country is in dire need of a revival- turning our hearts back to the Lord! With a legacy of over 150 years in the Poestenkill community, Union Gospel has had seasons of abundance and seasons of drought. Over the years, our facilities have been neglected and our numbers have dwindled- but there is a remnant that are dedicated to serving the Lord- who are committed to rebuilding this church and ministering to our community, and we praise the Lord because He is faithful. It is the Lord that will take us from this humble period and restore the ministry of Union Gospel as a city on a hill that cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14), giving light to the world and hope to the hopeless.
As we step forward into this new chapter, we begin by honoring the Lord. We do this by rededicating ourselves to serving the Lord and our local community, and we glorify God for the mighty work that He will do.
Like Nehemiah, this physical rebuilding goes hand in hand with our spiritual rededication to the Lord. We look to see what the Lord will do: He will provide the resources to rebuild the facility and He will provide the people who would seek not just to listen to God's Word, but who will invest themselves as we minister, support, guide and help those in need.
I would ask you today, Where do you stand? How is the Lord working in your life? Maybe you've never been to church and are unsure of who God is, or have questions about what happens after we leave this earth. Come join us; I would love to meet with you!
Perhaps you are a Christian, but are looking for a new fellowship. While church is a place where we are fed and ministered unto, it is also a place where we find the opportunity and support to minister unto others:; a place where you can use your gifts in service for your Lord and embrace the calling that the Lord has given you.
In whatever situation you find yourself, pray to see if the Lord would lay it on your heart to consider coming "up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD." Bring your talents and join us as we rebuild, both spiritually and physically.
The Lord has begun to provide both the resources and the vision to restore the House of God at Union Gospel. He will provide the resources to rebuild your Life as well! The time is now to
rededicate ourselves to the Honor and Glory of our Lord and Saviour!

Physically, our current project is the Fellowship Hall Renovation.
We are updating our fellowship hall with insulation, lighting, and enlarged, soon-to-be handicap accessible bathrooms! The Lord has been providing the resources as we need them, but there is much work ahead. It is an exiting time as we walk by faith, watching Him provide.
